Leti McManus, CFA - Founder
About the company
Throughout my professional life, I have come across many smaller companies that had great businesses but missed opportunities to raise funds and/or put themselves on the map because they were unprepared, uninformed, misinformed or misguided. Or simply misunderstood.
That is why I started Tiger Link - to do whatever is in my power and in the power of my network to help SMEs navigate through the dense and fast-changing jungle of funding options and "tricks of the trade". I wanted to see more companies raise funds efficiently or blossom post-IPO. I also wanted to see more happy entrepreneurs that are able to grow their firms further, rather than having no choice but to sell and move on.
I have 20 years of SME experience in an Equity Capital Markets context, whether it has been through IPO preparation or through involvement in actual IPOs on the European, American or Asian stock exchanges. I have also supported many companies in their life post-IPO, while working for what was at the time the largest SME-focused investment banking boutique in London (Seymour Pierce, now Cantor Fitzgerald Europe).
Since moving from London to Zurich seven years ago, in addition to working with companies, I have also been collaborating closely with private banks on succession issues for (U)HNWI-owned firms and with some of the major stock exchanges on their Swiss strategy and market approach with regards to SMEs. In my spare time I am a Committee Member of the British Swiss Chamber of Commerce (Zurich Chapter), responsible for entrepreneurs and healthcare, and a keen cat socialising volunteer at Zurich Animal Protection. I hold a BSc in Communication and PR and an MSc in Business Strategy. I am also a CFA charterholder.
We work with local and international senior independent consultants and with investment banks, legal, accounting, IR/PR etc firms with a strong SME focus. They are all used to understanding and dealing with the particular issues of smaller firms, and their modus operandi and fee structures are adapted to an SME client base.
Our network covers the main global financial centres/stock exchange hubs.
